Plastisol - presentation

Plastisol, PVC dispersal in a plasticizing system, presented as a liquid or a paste becomes an elastomer after a thermal treatment.

Three parameters enable defining all characteristics of a plastisol:

  • the initial product's rheology
  • the color
  • the final product's hardness

The formulation allows playing separately with these three parameters, enabling a quasi-infinite source of possibilities.

The combination of these formulas, hence various additives, complete the products’ properties (bound by solvents, declaration of conformity, foaming nature, grained aspect…).

This diversity is put to good use and allows the production of small or big series.

Our references enable the response to transformation modes as a whole.

Plastisol, coating soakingCoating soaking

After heating, the item to be coated is placed in a fixing bath with plastisol and then  placed in a drying oven in order to finish its transformation.

Plastisol, molding soakingMoulding soaking

The technique is the same as for coating but the part is removed from the mould after complete cooling.

Plastisol, slush-moldingSlush-moulding

This process is used to obtain a shallow item opened to one end.
An open mould, heated beforehand, is filled with Plastisol and then emptied before the backing stage.

Plastisol, the coatingThe coating

The Plastisol is placed on a support, (fabric, paper…), in given thickness with a scraping tool, a cylinder or a gun. The backing takes place throught a heating tunnel.

Plastisol, rotational moldingRotational moulding

It is an ideal technique for creating shallow substances whith slight openings.
This technique guarantees the gelling and the baking by a rotating bi-axial movement.
